The Bundoora Bulls Chaplain - Izzy
My name is Isaiah, but around the club my name is Izzy. I've been the chaplain for Bundoora FNC since mid 2018. I'm a member of Encompass Church, just around the corner from the club, and am accredited by Sports Chaplaincy Australia to support and empower the Bulls in their journey through life. Many aren't really sure what a chaplain does and why it might be helpful to have one. On training and game days, I look around and see the coaches and the team work really hard to make sure that the boys are physically fit for the game on the field. What I do as the chaplain is to work equally as hard to make sure that the Bulls are supported for the work off the footy field, the game of life. Whether it's lending an ear, being a sounding board, cracking a few jokes, suggesting a few ideas, or offering spiritual encouragement, I'm invested in helping the Bulls feel supported in all aspects of life. |

If you're ever in a place where you need someone to talk to, feel free to tap me on the shoulder and I'll be more than happy to help you out. Have a look out for my Chaplain's Corner board around the club rooms for a couple of ideas to think about throughout the week. Isaiah is trained to assist in all sorts of issues including grief/loss, trauma, mental health, suicide prevention, domestic violence, problem drinking and drug use.
