Round 2

So good to see round one upon us, I knew the boys were really excited and keen to get back into it. Our focus leading into the weekend was our ‘team first’ attitude and our commitment to the contest.

From the first bounce you could tell the boys had an appetite for the contest in trying conditions, which brought on our defensive actions.

I felt as the day went on our mid field wore down West Preston’s mid field, led by Condello and Barker. This helped our forward’s to get on top of the West’s backs, with Phillips playing an outstanding game across Half Forward and he did not stop trying all day. A big shout out to A.Smith who rucked all day and played an outstanding game.

It was great to see Pencil be rewarded with 5 goals, his work rate was second to none.

A special mention to Anthony Younan with 2 goals, hasn’t played for 10 years but you could still see the excitement in his face just being apart of the Bulls lineup.

Lastly, walking off the field after the effort the boys put in yesterday, I could feel that we are hungry for more success. Watch this space.
