VETERAN Bundoora defender Ben Shelton has announced his retirement after featuring in his third premiership for the club.
The key defender played 117 games for the Bulls from 2011-2017 and was a member of their flag-winning sides in 2011, 2013 and 2017.

Dear Bundoorians,
Our team are having a tough year this year and the full Committee have made a calculated decision to bring the team management expenses back to acceptable levels. Having said that, there is a clear strategy of bringing through an exciting group of young players into the Northern Football Leagues Senior Division 1 Ranks. We as a group commend and support them for this courageous initiative.
We are writing to you today because, we are not sure that everyone is aware that Darren Jones our Bundoorian Leader is currently recovering in hospital from the effects of a stroke, thankfully Darren is well on the way to recovery.
This is the reason our group has appeared to lack direction for the season 2015 and as a result other club orientated members have banded together to form an interim management team to look after the group affairs whilst Darren is recovering.
Keith Kean and Tony Hayes and Bob Loney will be the go to people until further notice and they have formulated the followings plans to proceed in 2015;
(1) Collect all outstanding pledges as soon as possible, the pledge this year is the same $150.00 as in previous years and if you have not paid your pledge as yet, if you could do so as soon as possible, it will make our job very easy. You can either provide cash to either of the above people or send a cheque to BUNDOORIANS at PO Box 10 Bundoora Vic, or electronic transfer the funds directly into the Bundoorian Bank Account

(2) New Membership Drive, the Bundoorian’s are very keen to build on the existing membership of our group and we would be very happy to discuss the positives of membership with any new potential members, we are very keen to attract family members of the current group of players Seniors Reserves and Under 19”s
(3) Call a meeting of all members as soon as possible to discuss the group strategy for 2015
(4) We are planning one special fund raiser for this year which you will be informed of once the final details are resolved
